LEARN MORE ABOUT ME
Meet Rachel Plasencia
I believe that the decision to go to therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself.
It is an opportunity to learn, grow, identify what needs to change, and ultimately discover who you want to be.
But if therapy is going to be effective, you must feel like it is a safe place to be fully open. That’s where my approach to therapy begins — there is never any judgment about where you are (or are not) in life. As we start to explore what you’re experiencing and what’s holding you back, we’ll work on shifting perspective about what you can and cannot control, learning tools and techniques to help you be more present and at peace, and looking at the future with a sense of possibility.

Life might look good from the outside—but you’re here because, somehow, it’s still not enough.
Maybe that’s showing up in your career, or your relationships, or just in the rhythms of everyday life.
But you know there has to be more to life than this, and you’re ready to open yourself up to those possibilities. You want to have deeper, more meaningful relationships, quiet the anxiety and overthinking that bogs you down, and bring life back into balance.
What is “mindfulness,” anyway?
Mindfulness can be a simple, sustainable practice that helps you regain the control and presence of mind that you are looking for in life. In our mindfulness approach, we’ll work on being...
Present in the moment
Learning how to be in the here and now … not ruminating on the past, not stressing about the future.
Aware of mind & body
Tuning into what your body is telling you and learning to trust what it says.
Without judgment
Replacing judgment and criticism of yourself, others, and situations with a sense of wonder & curiosity.
What to Expect
I will show up to every session fully present with you: helping you connect dots and identify themes that you may have not been able to see on your own. We focus on productive sessions and creating a toolbox of short, applicable mindfulness exercises you can take into your day-to-day life. We’ll talk, we’ll probably laugh some, and we’ll help you set — and ultimately achieve — the unique goals you have for therapy.
